Hello!
Piper Monson is a multi-faceted theatre artist who grew up in rural Nebraska. After watching Barbie of Swan Lake at the ripe age of 3, she found herself in ballet class and has been performing ever since. She was a 2019 National Nominee for the Jimmy Awards, where she represented the Nebraska High School Theatre Academy for her portrayal of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady. With NHSTA she has also been a guest artist for various concerts, singing with Brian d'Arcy James, Alexander Gemignani, and Norm Lewis.
She is a recent graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University where she received her BFA in Musical Theatre. At NWU she has been involved onstage in projects such as Holiday Inn (Linda Mason), the world premiere of A Long Long of McKinney Women (Bridget), Seussical (The Cat in the Hat), & Head Over Heels (Gynecia). Offstage projects include directing The Verge by Susan Glaspel, choreographing the mainstage production of Little Women, and assisting professor Anne McAlexander on Into the Woods in music, choreography, and direction.
This summer she worked with Flatwater Shakespeare, acting in Desdemona: A Play About a Handkerchief (Emilia) and The Winter's Tale (Perdita).
When not onstage, Piper enjoys working on puzzles, exploring the outdoors, and being a cat mom!
